SUBJECT: DAMAGED OR LOST 184-9866 BUCKET DUMP STOP ASSEMBLIES REQUIRE REPLACEMENT AND RECALIBRATION OF THE TILT LINKAGE POSITION SENSOR.
PROBLEM:
Damage or loss of the dump stops on the bucket will allow the bucket to rotate beyond the full dump position. The position sensor for the tilt linkage will exceed the calibrated range and a "Tilt Linkage Position Sensor Below Normal Operating Range" fault may be generated. This can also trigger a "Tilt Linkage Position Sensor out of Calibration" fault. This will slow implement response until the dump stops are replaced and the sensor is recalibrated.
SOLUTION:
If a "Tilt Linkage Position Sensor Below Normal Operating Range" fault occurs, inspect both of the dump stops. Damage or loss of the dump stops on the bucket can allow the bucket to rotate beyond the normal DUMP position. A "Tilt Linkage Position Sensor Out of Calibration" fault may be triggered and slow the implement movements, until the dump stops are replaced and the tilt linkage position sensor is re-calibrated. Refer to the following graphic for the dump stop location on the bucket.
Note: During the calibration, the dump stops and mating boom contact surfaces must be free of all material build up for the calibration to be accurate.
