Problem:
There is a possibility that the transmission fill calibration may fail on one of the listed machines which has one or more 160-8408 Valve Groups installed on the transmission. An error in the software may allow a small number of machines to fail the calibration even though all components are within specification and the system is functioning correctly. This error is present in all versions of power train software that are compatible with the 160-8408 Valve Group: 177-1492 Software Group, 192-9953 Software Group, and 202-8706 Software Group.
Solution:
A new 210-1412 Software Group has been released with the correct calibration limits. The 210-1412 Software Group is available through SISWeb and may be used on any 950G, 962G, 966G, or 972G Wheel Loader or any IT62G Integrated Toolcarrier. The 210-1412 Software Group may be used with both the 121-4298 Valve Group and the 160-8408 Valve Group. If a machine fails the transmission fill calibration after a 160-8404 Valve Group has been installed, flashing the 210-1412 software should correct the problem.
The 210-1412 Software Group is also available pre-installed in the power train ECM through the parts system as the 210-1413 Service Group.
