Aftercooler Radiator Cores Vent Line Connection To Shunt Tank
Usage:
TRACK-TYPE TRACTORD9R (ABK, ACL) TRACK-TYPE TRACTORS WITH 5XD ENGINES
Problem:
The aftercooler water pump may become air locked if the aftercooler radiator cores vent line is improperly connected to the shunt tank on machines with 5XD HEUI engines. If the water pump becomes air locked, inlet manifold temperatures will be elevated and cause an inlet manifold temperature warning indication and engine derate.
Solution:
The correct aftercooler radiator cores vent connection to the shunt tank (1) is shown below. The two left cores (2) are the aftercooler cores.
