Problem:
Some 7T-1664 Cages, that have burrs on the bars of the cage, may have been shipped to the parts system. The burrs will prevent the rollers from properly seating in the cage. This could cause the rollers to stop rolling and lead to the premature failure of the cage.
The 7T-1664 Cage is used in the following torque converter groups:
Solution:
7T-1664 Cage The date code is located on one of two tabs (A).

Inspect all dealer stock of 7T-1664 Cages for a date code of A4600. The date code is located on one of the two tabs (A) that contain the 6.35 mm (0.25 inch) hole for the cage springs.Inspect the bars of the cage for burrs and use a 1T-1754 Roller to ensure proper seating of the rollers in the cage.
