PROBLEM
Existing dealer parts stock of 443-8879 Spacers and 443-8878 Rings needs to be inspected. These spacers and rings are for use on certain 794 AC, 796 AC, and 798 AC Off-Highway Trucks. Some of these spacers and rings may not be within Caterpillar design specifications. If the parts are out of specification they may cause premature wear in the nose-cone (rear-axle) bearing. |
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all existing dealer parts stock of 443-8879 Spacers and 443-8878 Rings. If any of the existing 443-8879 Spacers or 443-8878 Rings were supplied by Forester they need to be removed from stock. Parts by other suppliers are to be considered within specification and should be retained for use. The attached instructions indicate how to identify a part made per specifications and a part supplied by Forester that needs to be removed from parts stock. |
SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
