ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to UENR3817, Disassembly and Assembly, 826K Landfill Compactor, 825K Soil Compactor and 824K Wheel Dozer Machine Systems, "Main Control Valve - Disassemble and Assemble". Refer to the table in Image1 for the main control valve part numbers. Refer to Image2 for an example of a typical main control valve cross-section. If the existing centering spring fails, replace the failed spring with a new 529-7729 Spool Spring. 1. Access the main control valve and clean the area. Do NOT remove the main control valve from the machine. 2. Remove the cap from the main control valve. 3. Remove the directional stem from the main control valve. NOTE: Use a clean, lint-free, towel to handle the directional stem assembly. Do NOT damage the directional stem running surfaces. 4. Disassemble the directional stem. Replace the failed broken spring with a new 529-7729 Spool Spring. 5. Assemble the directional stem assembly. Tighten to a specified torque of 8 +/- 0.5 N.m (5.9 +/- 0.4 lb. ft). 6. Clean the directional stem assembly as needed and install in the main control valve. 7. Install the end cap on the main control valve. Tighten the bolts to a specified torque of 8 +/- 0.5 N.m (5.9 +/- 0.4 lb. ft). NOTE: Ensure proper orientation and alignment of the directional stem assembly and end cap. Refer to Image2. |
