------ WARNING! ------

The 6V2052 Adapters (2) of tooling (A) can be installed directly into the track roller frame, but if they are, the tooling assembly will be too short and the cylinder will have enough stroke to possibly cause a failure of the 6V2052 Adapters. An adapter failure can cause an injury if the recoil spring pushes tooling (A) and the track adjuster rapidly out of the track roller frame.

To prevent injury always install the 5P6581 Adapters (1) of tooling (A) on adapters (2); then install adapters (1) through the holes in the track roller frame, and install washers and nuts on the back side. Keep tooling (A) level.

--------WARNING!------

1. Install the 5P6581 Adapters (1) on the 6V2052 Adapters. Install adapters (1) through the holes in the track roller frame, and install washers and nuts on the back side. Leave approximately a 3.175 mm (.125 in.) gap between the washers and the track roller frame.

2. Install the remainder of tooling (A) as shown. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts (3) in the pins that hold the track adjuster and recoil spring in place. Use tooling (A) to push track adjuster (4) in just far enough to remove the two pins.

3. After the pins are removed, slowly release the pressure in tooling (A) until all the tension in the recoil spring is released. Remove tooling (A).

4. Remove track adjuster (4) and recoil spring (5) from the track roller frame. Weight of the recoil spring is 43 kg (95 lb.).

Install Track Adjusters And Recoil Springs (943)

1. Put recoil spring (1) in position in the track roller frame. Weight is 43 kg (95 lb.).

2. Install track adjuster (2) in the recoil spring.

Leave approximately a 3.175 mm (.125 in.) gap between the washers and the track roller frame. Install the remainder of tooling (A) as shown.

4. Use tooling (A) to put the recoil spring in compression so pins (5) can be installed. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on pins (5), and install pins (5) in the track roller frame.

5. Slowly release the pressure in tooling (A) until pins (5) hold the recoil spring in compression. Remove tooling (A). Remove the eyebolts from pins (5).
