Usage:
1. Remove the cover from the track roller frame.
2. Use a grease gun (1) to push grease into the track adjuster, and move the front idler to the full tight position.
NOTE: Full tight position is when the track is straight between the carrier roller and the idler. Do not use force to put the idler out any further.
3. Go to Step 5 if dimension "X" is greater than 50.8 mm (2 in.). If dimension "X" is less than 50.8 mm (2 in.), move the front idler forward to the next set of holes as follows:
a. Loosen the track. See Separation Of Tracks.
b. Put marks on the guard and track roller frame so dimension "Y" between the marks is approximately 27 mm (1.06 in.). Put marks on both the outside and inside guard. Remove bolts (2) and (3) from both guards.
c. Use a crow bar to move guards (4) forward to the next set of holes. The holes will be in alignment when the marks are as shown. If necessary, push the yoke forward with the track adjuster.
d. Install the bolts that hold the guards to the track roller frame and rock guards. Tighten the bolts in the track roller frame to a torque of 200 ± 25 N·m (150 ± 20 lb.ft.).
4. Use a grease gun (1) to push grease into the track adjuster, and move the front idler to the full tight position.
5. Put cover (5) or a straight edge across the support, and put a mark (6) on the rod as shown.
6. Put a second mark (7) 10 mm (.4 in.) in front of the first mark (6).
Dimension Z = 10 mm (.4 in.)
7. Open valve (8) one revolution, and let the idler move back to its original position. If the idler does not move back, run the machine backward and forward to help the idler move back to its original position. Close valve (8).
8. Put the cover or a straight edge across the support. Use a grease gun to push grease into the track adjuster, and move the idler forward until the second mark (7) is in alignment with the straight edge.
9. Install the cover over the track adjuster.
