Assemble Track Carrier Rollers
1. Lower the temperature of the bearing cups (1). Install the cups in the roller.
2. Heat bearing cone (2) in oil to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install the cone on shaft (3).
3. Install the shaft and bearing in the roller.
4. Heat bearing cone (4) to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install the cone on the shaft.
5. Install plate (5) with the ground surface toward the shaft. Install lock (6) and bolts (7) in the end of the shaft. Bend the lock against the bolts.
6. Put O-ring seal (9) in a mixture of soap and water. Install the seal on cover (8). Put the cover in position on the roller. Install the three bolts that hold the cover in place.
NOTE: The 953 carrier roller does not have support (10). Install the Duo-Cone seal directly in the roller.
7. Put the O-ring seal for support (10) in a mixture of soap and water. Install the seal on the support. Make sure the dowels on the support are in alignment with the dowel holes in the roller, and install support (10) in the roller.
8. Install the Duo-Cone seal in the support and collar with tool (B) for 943. Use tool (C) for 953.
