Track Adjusters

Usage:

Disassemble Track Adjusters

START BY:

a. remove track adjusters and recoil springs

1. Remove piston assembly (1) from cylinder (2).

2. Remove seal assembly (3) from the cylinder.

NOTE: Put identification on seat assembly (5) as to its location in the piston.

3. Remove bolts (4), and remove seat assembly (5) from the piston.

4. Remove valve (6) from the seal assembly.

5. Remove back-up ring and O-ring seal (7) and O-ring seal (8) from the seat assembly.

Assemble Track Adjusters

1. Install O-ring seal (4), O-ring seal (3) and back-up ring (2) on the seat assembly. Put clean grease on the O-ring seals.

2. Install valve (1) in the seat assembly. Tighten valve to a torque of 70 ± 15 N·m (52 ± 11 lb.ft.).

3. Install the seat assembly in its original position in piston (5) with passages (6) in the seat assembly toward the shaft of piston (5) as shown. Install the bolts that hold the seat assembly in the piston.

4. Bend seal (7), for the cylinder, as shown.

5. With seal (7) bent, install it in the cylinder as shown with the lip in. Install ring (8) after the seal is installed. Put clean grease on the seal.

6. Install piston assembly (5) in the cylinder.
