Track Roller Frames

Usage:

Remove Track Roller Frames

START BY:

a. separation of tracks

1. Lift the machine, and install tooling (A) under the frame. Remove the track from under the track roller frame.

------ WARNING! ------

The track roller frame can fall if eyebolts are installed in pins (1) and then used to lift the track roller frame. Pins (1) can come out of the track roller frame if they are used to lift the roller frame. To prevent injury, always use tooling (B) to lift the roller frame.

2. Fasten tooling (B) to a 953 track roller frame as shown. On a 943 track roller frame, fasten tooling (B) to both rear studs for the cover. Fasten a chain and hoist to tooling (B).

3. Remove bolts (2) and cap (3) from the end of the equalizer bar.

4. Remove caps (4) and step (5) from the track roller frame.

5. Remove track roller frame (6) from the machine. Weight is: 943 - 815 kg (1800 lb.), 953 - 945 kg (2100 lb.).

Install Track Roller Frames

1. Put Locktite No. 277 Adhesive Sealant on the outside diameters of seals (2) in the equalizer bar support and on the end of the equalizer bar and cap (3).

------ WARNING! ------

The track roller frame can fall if eyebolts are installed in pins (1) and then used to lift the track roller frame. Pins (1) can come out of the track roller frame if they are used to lift the roller frame. To prevent injury, always use tooling (B) to lift the roller frame.

2. Fasten tooling (B) to a 953 track roller frame as shown. On a 943 track roller frame fasten tooling (B) to both rear studs for the cover. Fasten a chain and hoist to tooling (B). Put the track roller frame in position on the machine. Weight of the track roller frame is: 943 - 815 kg (1800 lb.), 953 - 945 kg (2100 lb.).

3. Put cap (3) in position on the end of the equalizer bar, and install the bolts that hold it in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 360 ± 50 N·m (270 ± 37 lb.ft.).

4. Install caps (4) that hold the track roller frame to the pivot shaft.

5. Put step (5) in position, and install the bolts that hold caps (4) and step (5) in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 200 ± 25 N·m (150 ± 20 lb.ft.).

6. Remove the hoist and tooling (B) from the track roller frame.

7. Install the track under the track roller frame. Remove tooling (A) from under the frame, and lower the machine on to the track.
