Usage:
START BY:
a. remove flexible coupling *
*This operation is in the Power Train Disassembly And Assembly section.
1. Remove two of the bolts that hold the flywheel to the crankshaft, and install two 7/16"-20 NF guide bolts (1), 6 in. (152 mm) long, in the crankshaft.
2. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the flywheel. Remove the remainder of bolts (3), and remove flywheel (2). Weight of the flywheel is 77 kg (170 lb.).
Install Flywheel
1. Be sure that the face of the crankshaft and flywheel that make contact are clean and smooth.
2. Install two 7/16"-20 NF guide bolts (1), 6 in. (152 mm) long, in the crankshaft.
3. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the flywheel. Put the flywheel in position on the crankshaft, and install the bolts and washers that hold it in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 75 ± 8 N·m (55 ± 6 lb.ft.).
4. Install tooling (B) to measure the face runout of face (Z) on the flywheel. The flexible coupling is fastened to face (Z). The face runout must not be greater than 0.30 mm (.012 in.) total indicator reading.
