PROBLEM
The existing hydraulic cylinder (barrel) can leak oil from the bottom of the cylinder barrel on certain MP324 Multi-Processors. If the existing cylinder barrel leaks oil it may be caused by deformation of the barrel. This can/will result in performance reduction and/or the Multi-Processor not working as expected. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Remove the cylinder assembly from the Multi-Processor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR5226 instruction for detailed instructions. Remove the cylinder rod assembly. Measure cylinder barrel inside, if this diameter greater than 60.063mm the 398-0173 cylinder assembly must be replaced with the 501-1508 cylinder assembly. Using new seals from the 506-7086 Seal Kit, replace the two 398-0177 Tube Assemblies with the new 501-1512 Tube Assemblies, replace the old 398-0175 Cap with the new 501-1511 Cap, and replace the old 398-0173 Cylinder Assembly with the new 501-1508 Cylinder Assembly. Note: Use new 160-0020 bolts when replacing the 501-1511 Cap. Using one 228-7106 Seal, install one 241-6171 Plug into the port of the 501-1511 Cap. Using one 228-7105 Seal, install one 227-0136 Plug into the port of the 501-1511 Cap. Using one 228-7105 Seal, install one 227-0136 Plug into the port of the 501-1508 Cylinder Assembly. Reassemble the cylinder using new seals. |
