Stainless Steel Pin Available For Parking Brake Groups {4267}

D400E (2YR) Articulated Trucks

Description of Change: A new 174-0995 Pin is available for the parking brake groups on these machines. The new pin is made from stainless steel and resists corrosion better than the former 133-9057 Pin.

Adaptable To: The new pin is adaptable to machines in service. The new pin is a direct replacement for the former pin.

Notes:

1. Before installing the new pin, make sure that the bores in the brake calipers are clean and free from rust.

2. Apply 1U-8268 Dry Film Lubricant to the plain diameter (shown shaded in the illustration) of the pin. DO NOT apply dry film lubricant to the threaded portion of the pin.

3. The 129-0880 Parking Brake Group used on D350E machines includes two pins.

The 123-7875 Parking Brake Group used on D400E machines includes four pins.
