Stronger PTO Shaft Available {3107}

Usage:

Challenger 35 (8DN, 8RD, ADK),
Challenger 45 (1DR, ABF, 3BK),
Challenger 55 (7DM, 6NN, AEN) Agricultural Tractors

Description of Change: A stronger PTO shaft is now available. The shaft has larger sectional transitions to lower stress in highly loaded areas. Illustration 1 shows the former design, and Illustration 2 shows the improved design. The changes increase the bending strength in this area by 80 percent and the torsional strength by 40 percent.

Adaptable To: The new 156-5591 Shaft replaces the 112-8712 Shaft, and was effective with Challenger 35 (8DN984), Challenger 45 (1DR2038), and Challenger 55 (7DM1503) Agricultural Tractors. The improved shaft is retrofittable to all earlier Rowcrop Tractors.
