Governors Now Use New Low Mass Weight Carrier{1272}

Usage:

3406C Truck Engines With Mechanical Governors

Description of Change: A new weight carrier is now available. The weight carrier contains the governor fly weights which control automatic timing advance under load. Torsional vibration can cause weight carrier movement under its bolt heads. The new weight carrier has less weight (mass) and eliminates slipping under torsional vibration and the resulting loose joint.

Location of new 107-6770 Weight Carrier in governor and fuel pump drive group.

Adaptable To: The new 107-6770 Weight Carrier is a direct replacement for the former 4P-7693 Weight Carrier. The former carrier is canceled. The new carrier is effective with 3406C (8PN1, 3ZJ58226) Truck Engines with mechanical governors. The new carrier is adaptable to 3406C (4MG3600 - Up, 5KJ2681 - Up, 3ZJ911 - Up) Truck Engines.
