Formerly, there were no specifications for the boost pressure for the turbocharged 3054 machine engine.

Use the specifications that follow when you are troubleshooting a complaint for low power:

• 41 ± 7 kPa (6 ± 1 psi) boost pressure at high idle

• 55 ± 7 kPa (8 ± 1 psi) boost pressure at single torque converter stall speed

• 72 ± 7 kPa (10 ± 1 psi) boost pressure at double torque converter stall speed

Note: The single torque converter stall speed is 2300 rpm. The double torque converter stall speed is 2250 rpm.

Remove the air inlet heater in order to measure the boost pressure. Install a 7W-6217 Adapter into the port for the air inlet heater.

Note: Variations in the following items will affect the result of the test:

• Altitude

• Barometric pressure

• Fuel quality

• Humidity

• Air temperature

Note: After installing the air inlet heater, prime the fuel system in order to remove any air. Failure to remove all air may damage the air inlet heater.
