(1) Rubber toric rings, and all contacting surfaces must be clean and dry prior to assembly. Smear a thin film of oil onto the contacting surfaces of the metal seals just before installation. Lubricate all other seals on assembly. The seal rings must be assembled square with the bore. The O-ring seal must not be twisted.
(2) Lubricate the contacting surfaces of the seal. Use the lubricant to be used in the power train.
