Oil Filter and Base (Torque Converter) - Install

Installation Procedure

Note: Inspect the O-ring seals. Replace any O-ring seals that are worn or damaged.

Note: Prior to installation, lubricate the O-ring seals with the fluid that is being sealed.

  1. Use a suitable lifting device to support the weight of torque converter oil filter (1). The weight of the torque converter oil filter (1) is 27 kg (59.5 lb).

  2. Install torque converter oil filter (1), four washers, and four bolts (2).

  3. Install bypass switch (3) of the torque converter oil filter.

  4. Install O-ring seal (6). Connect hose assembly (7). Install split flange (5), four washers, and four bolts (4).

  5. Repeat Step 4 for remaining hose assembly (8).

  6. Fill the oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure and for the fluid capacities.
