Hoist Control Valve - Install
- Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
- Lubricate O-ring seals with an appropriate lubricant.

Illustration 1 g00624281 - Attach appropriate lifting slings and a hoist to hoist control valve (13). Place the hoist control valve into position on the machine. The weight of the hoist control valve is
41 kg (90 lb) . Install three bolts (22), the washers, and the nuts that secure hoist control valve (13) to the side panel. - Connect wire connectors (21) at each end of the hoist control valve.

Illustration 3 g00624279 - Position the two O-ring seals and two hose assemblies (19) to hoist control valve (13). Install four half clamps (18), eight bolts (17), and the washers that secure the hose assemblies to the hoist control valve.

54 kg (120 lb) . - Place strut (9) into position. Install the two nuts and the washers that secure the strut to the machine.

- Install bolt (6) and the washer.

- Place two tubes (5) into position on the machine. Install four clamps (3) and bracket (4). Tighten the clamps to a torque of
48 ± 10 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft) .Show/hide tableIllustration 11 g00599341 - Place cover (2) into position on the machine. Install four bolts (1), the washers, and the nuts to cover (2).
- Check the fluid level in the brake and steering system tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7064, "Hoist, Steering, and Brake System Oil Level - Check" for the proper procedure.
