NOTE: | This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS53600" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing variable speed fan drive can fail on certain 777G and 777G OEM Off-Highway Trucks. If the existing variable speed fan drive fails it can reduce cooling performance, exhibit external oil leakage, or create abnormal vibration during machine operation. |

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
1. Remove the belt guards and fan guards from the fan shroud. |

2. Remove the engine cooling fan assembly (spider) and fan belts. The fan mounting bolts will not be reused. Remove the fan drive belts. |

3. Remove the fan belt pulley and hardware from the fan drive assembly. |

4. Disconnect the fan drive hydraulic hoses from the drive assembly. |

5. Remove the existing fan drive assembly and adaptor bracket. |

6. Remove the fan bracket, springs, pulley and hardware as a unit. Remove the spacer plate. Retain the bolt and washer. Retain the 3 nuts. The 3 washers from the studs will not be reused. |

7. Replace the 3 taperlock studs with 3 x 448-1522 Studs ? Taperlock. Tighten the studs to a torque of 75+/-10 Nm (55+/-7 ft lb). |

8. Install the spacer plate previously remove. Install the fan bracket previously removed utilizing the nuts previously remove and 3 new 5P-1076 Washers. Tighten the bolt and nuts to a torque of 105+/-20 Nm (78+/-15 ft lb). |

9. Transfer the hydraulic fittings from the previous fan drive to the new 513-9274 Drive As. ?Fan utilizing new 3K-0360 Seal-O-Ring, 5K-9090 Seal-O-Ring, 214-7568 Seal-O-Ring, and 3J-7354 Seal-O-Ring. Keep fitting orientation the same as on the previous fan drive. |

10. Install the new 513-9274 Drive Assembly using 4 Nuts and 4 Washers previously removed. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 105+/-20 Nm (78+/-15 ft lb). |

11. Reconnect the fan drive hydraulic hoses to fan drive assembly utilizing a new 228-7089 Seal-O-Ring, 5K-9090 Seal-O-Ring, and 4J-5477 Seal-O-Ring. |

12. Install the Fan Belt Pulley utilizing the hardware previously removed. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 47+/-9 Nm (35+/-7 ft lb). |

13. Install the fan drive belts. Install the fan utilizing the washers previously remove and 8 new 8T-6466 Bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 55+/-10 Nm (41+/-7 ft lb). |

14. Re-install all fan guards and belt guards. |

15. Test the machine for proper fan system operation and verify the no leaks are present. |
