Improvement For 117-7553 (Fuse Panel) Breaker Group Access {1417}

Fuse panel access can be improved to allow fuse replacement without the need of a special tool.

Access to the 117-7553 (Fuse Panel) Breaker Group can be improved by taking the following steps. This improvement is adaptable to all D250E and D300E Articulated Trucks.

1. Remove the allen head screws holding the 127-8916 (Cover) Plate-Guard and 117-7553 (Fuse Panel) Breaker Group in place.

2. Install the 117-7553 (Fuse Panel) Breaker Group back on the machine using (4) 100-5725 Stud-Bolts.

NOTE: As the 117-7553 (Fuse Panel) Breaker Group is being installed, check that no wires are pinched when the stud-bolts are tightened.

3. Install the 127-8916 (Cover) Plate-Guard to the fuse panel with (4) 2B-9498 (Wing) Nuts. The holes in the 127-8916 (Cover) Plate-Guard may need to be enlarged to allow the cover to easily slip on and off the stud-bolts.

4. The fuses can now be accessed without any special tools by removing the (wing) nuts by hand.
