Procedure For Setting Rear Steering Position Sensor {4005}

Usage:


TH62 (4TM, 3LN),
TH63 (5WM, 3NN),
TH82 (3JN, 3KN),
TH83 (3RN) Telehandlers

The following procedure can be used to adjust the rear axle steering position sensor to provide the correct working clearance:


Illustration 1.

1. Steer the rear wheels to the straight forward position as shown in Illustration 1.

2. Turn the engine start switch key to the "ON" position. Do NOT start the engine.

3. Move the steering master switch to the "OFF" position (center position).

4. If Light Emitting Diode (L.E.D.) (1) on sensor (2) is illuminated, move the sensor toward target (4) by adjusting nuts (3) until the L.E.D. is extinguished and tighten the nuts.

5. If the L.E.D. is not illuminated, move sensor (2) away from target (4) by adjusting nuts (3) until the L.E.D. is illuminated. Move the sensor towards target (4) by adjusting nuts (3) until the L.E.D. is extinguished and tighten the nuts.
