New Guard Reduces The Amount Of Dust And Debris Drawn Into The Engine Compartment From The Ground {7150,7153}

Dust and debris is drawn into the engine compartment from the ground. A new guard is available which redirects the engine fan air flow. This reduces the amount of dust and debris such as chaff which can be drawn into the engine compartment from the ground. The guard is manufactured from perforated sheet metal and is installed below and to the rear of the engine.

The following parts are required:

Installation Procedure:

1. Drill a 12 mm hole in transfer drive mounting bracket (A) in the position shown in Illustration 1.

2. Replace cover (B) (see Illustration 1) on the bottom of the directional control valve mounting with plate (5) using the existing mounting hardware as shown in Illustration 2.

3. Install guard (7) or (8) as required. Secure the guard to transfer drive bracket (A) with bolt (1), washer (2) and nut (3), and to cover (B) with bolts (4) and washers (2) as shown in Illustration 2.

4. Install lugs (6) with bolts (4) and washers (2).
