Description of Change: The new electronic flasher is a heavy duty unit and will provide a longer service life.

Adaptable To: The new 108-0358 Electronic Flasher Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 8D-6946 Flasher. The new 108-0358 Electronic Flasher Assembly is effective with all D Series machines and the following approximate effective serial numbers: 6HK301, 7EK255, and 1HL141. The new 108-0358 Electronic Flasher Assembly is adaptable to all earlier machines. The 8D-6946 Flasher will continue to be serviced.

NOTE: On the new 108-0358 Electronic Flasher Assembly, the B+ wire (typically 103-YL or 173-YL wire) must be connected to the center terminal labeled "battery". If the connections to the electronic flasher assembly are reversed, the unit will not flash but will remain "ON" (illuminated) when power is applied to the electronic flasher assembly.

NOTE: An additional hole may be needed to mount the new 108-0358 Electronic Flasher Assembly which is larger than the former 8D-6946 Flasher. See the listed reference.
