Cab Improvements Reduce Glass Fracture and Improve Sealing {7310,7323,7340}

Usage:

Challenger 35 (8DN),
Challenger 45 (1DR),
Challenger 55 (7DM) Agricultural Tractors

Description of Change: Several improvements have been made to the cab. In order to prevent glass breakage, the corner radius of the front glass has been changed to 6 mm (.24 in). In order to improve cab sealing, the following improvements have been made: the door switch location has been moved in order to avoid interference with the door seal, the roof grommet material was changed from neoprene to propelyne in order to improve weatherability, and the diameter of the front two nylon washers has been increased from 25.4 mm (1 in) to 38.1 mm (1.5 in) to allow for adequate sealing with wider tolerance variations in the roof.

Adaptable To: The 137-9402 Nylon Washer replaces the 116-5740 Nylon Washer in the 116-5679 Outer Roof Group. The cab improvements are effective with Challenger 35 (8DN564), Challenger 45 (1DR1233), and Challenger 55 (7DM463) Agricultural Tractors.

NOTE: Due to the order of cab installation, there may be a limited number of machines before or after the effective machines which do not have the changes.
