Injector Solenoids on Engines Equipped with EUI Are Not Polarity Sensitive{1259}

The EUI (electronic unit injector) solenoids (4) are not polarity sensitive. This means harness yoke (2) can be assembled onto the solenoid in any position, either side up. The rotational location of solenoid studs (3) can vary on each solenoid, therefore if the studs do not line up with the slots in the harness yoke, turn the harness yoke over. The wiring harness yoke is designed to attach to the solenoid regardless of solenoid stud position.

The tightening torque for the terminal nuts (1) is 1.70 ± 0.25 N·m (15 ± 2 lb in). Make note of this tightening torque in the appropriate Specifications Modules.
