New Fuel Sender Provides Increased Reliability{7481}

Usage:

D5H (8RJ1-UP, 7EG1-UP, 8RC5500-UP, 1DD5500-UP, 7NC5500-UP, 9HC5500-UP, 1YD5500-UP, 2SD5500-UP, 3MD5500-UP, 4KD5500-UP) Track-Type Tractors

SUPPLEMENT: 04/01/96

Service Magazine; July 31, 1995; Page 1; "New Fuel Sender Provides Increased Reliability".

The improved 123-7407 Sender is in production effective with D5H (1DD6583, 7NC5527, 8RC6137, 8RJ4954, 9HC5523).

--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: A new fuel level sender is now available. The new sender has a float "perpendicular" to the mounting plate which allows the float to travel through the baffles inside the fuel tank without interference. The former sender may become caught on baffles inside the fuel tank and may not read the correct amount of fuel inside the tank.

Adaptable To: The new 123-7407 Sender replaces the 8Y-5169 Sender in the D5H Track-Type Tractors listed above. The 8Y-5169 Sender is still serviced on machines where the sender does not interfere with the baffles inside the fuel tank.
