Correct Amount Of Oil For Vibratory Bearing Reservoir{6645}

Usage:

CS-431B (1XF),
CP-433B (1MG),
CS-433B (4FK) Vibratory Compactors

Reference: Service Magazine; August 30, 1993; Page 5; "New Vibratory Bearing Housings Improves Lubrication Of Bearings".

Refill capacities for the vibratory bearing housing are different depending on the product identification number of the machine. Earlier machines were built without oil pockets in the weight shaft bearing housing. Later machines were built with oil pockets in the weight shaft bearing housing to improve service life.

For the earlier machines, refill the vibratory weight shaft housing with 19 liters (5 gallons) of 4C-6767 Oil. For the later machines, refill the vibratory weight shaft housing with 42.5 liters (11.25 gallons) of 4C-6767 Oil, 85W140 or 80W140 GL5 gear oil, or equivalent according to the specifications in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.

The new vibratory bearing housings with the increased oil capacity are effective with CS-431B (1XF1-114), CP-433B (1MG1-597), and CS-433B (4FK139-Up) Vibratory Compactors.

NOTE: The refill capacity of earlier machines that have been modified according to the procedures in the reference article is 42.5 liters (11.25 gallons).
