New Exhaust Manifold Group Helps Prevent Exhaust Manifold Cracking{1059}

Usage:

814B (16Z348-UP) Wheel Tractors;
815B (17Z1478-UP),
816B (15Z1360-UP) Compactors;
966F (1SL239-UP) Wheel Loaders

Description of Change: A new exhaust manifold group is used on the 3306 Engine in these machines. The new group includes a three piece exhaust manifold. Formerly, a single piece exhaust manifold was used. The new manifold group will help prevent cracks that may result from temperature cycles.

Adaptable To: The new 7W-8582 Exhaust Manifold Group replaces the 2P-6573 Exhaust Manifold Group on the above machines. These groups are not serviced at the group level. The individual components of the 7W-8582 Exhaust Manifold Group are:

One 7W-8583 Manifold
One 7W-8584 Manifold
One 7W-8585 Manifold
Three 9Y-1979 Gaskets

The new components, when used together, are direct replacement for the 9S-2354 Manifold and 9Y-1979 Gaskets in the 2P-6573 Exhaust Manifold Group.
