--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
New seals are available for the front and rear suspension cylinders. The new seals have a U-cup shape and are designed to withstand the cold temperatures found in arctic regions, down to -60°C (-76°F). A "ring" of silicone rubber between the lips of the new seals is used as an expansion device to prevent the seals from leaking in cold climates. The seals should be used in all conditions where the machines are expected to operate at temperatures below -20°C (-4°F).
The new 9X-4615 Seal is a direct replacement for the 8T-3539 and 8T-3540 Seals used in the front and rear suspension cylinders.
NOTE: Before installing the seal, lubricate the sealing lips lightly with the lubricant being sealed. Remove both of the former seal rings and position a new seal so that the lips are installed toward the source of the high pressure oil (piston). See the illustrations for the typical locations of the new seals.
