New Parts Service Friction Disc Available For Machines With Shift Harshness Complaints {3150,3155}

Usage:

D4H (8PB, 9DB) Tractors D4H (8ZF) Track Skidders

Shift harshness has occasionally been a complaint in D4H Tractors. The term "shift harshness" as used here means "excessive jerk during a shift that is accomplished within the expected time". The shift harshness level is not considered harmful to the machine, but in some cases it has been objectionable to the owner or operator.

The new 106-3045 Disc (Rayflex friction material) will provide some reduction in shift harshness when installed in the directional clutches (forward and reverse) of problem machines. However, installation of the new disc will have no effect on shift quality problems that are caused by shift hesitation or shift delay.

The new 106-3045 Disc is a direct replacement for the production discs. The new 106-3045 Disc should not be mixed with production discs within the same clutch, however, the new discs may be used in the forward clutch only or the reverse clutch only, if desired. New plates should be installed with the new discs.
