Usage:
NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI1326" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI1326" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
NOTE: Although this Program is to be administered as described above on the Affected Product, parts should be removed from Parts Stock as soon as possible.
NOTE: This Revised Service Letter replaces the March 1, 1997 Service Letter. The Termination and completion dates should not have been in the original letter.
Problem
The 1286155 Decal for the hydraulic front quick coupler needs to be replaced on certain 428C and 438C Backhoe Loaders. The decal includes operating instructions for the hydraulic front quick coupler. The arrows showing the locking pin direction of movement are pointing in the wrong direction. This could lead to the operator inadvertently disconnecting an attachment.

Action Required
Affected Product
1. Loosen the two screws and remove the heater temperature control knob.
2. Remove the 1286155-02 (change 02) Decal.
3. Fit a new 1286155-03 (change 03) Decal.
4. Replace the heater temperature control knob and tighten the two screws. (Make sure when replacing the knob that it is correctly aligned).
Parts Stock
Remove all 1286155-02 (change 02) Decals from Parts Stock.
