NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8860" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Problem

VIMS software can be updated to version 9.3X. When the new 9.3X software is installed on 784B, 785B, 789B, 793B and 793C Trucks the existing pressure sensor used to monitor the system air pressure will need to be changed. The existing sensor (100-4311) will not work with the new software. The new air pressure sensor has a tighter tolerance band and thus new scaling in the software. Also, the new air pressure sensor is not usable with the old version 7.X software.

2. Upload 1409474 Source Code.

3. Upload configuration code as chosen from 9.3X Chart.

...Data Collection and Merging - all 9.3X data MUST BE downloaded, merged and analyzed using VIMS-PC version V2.1.All prognostic files MUST begin anew; data collected with 7.X software MUST NOT BE COMBINED with data collected with 9.3X software.

...Service Manual - new VIMS service manual SENR6059-03 is now available.It is recommended that this manual be available for use when using 9.3X software.
