The Fuel Line Tube Assemblies May Experience Fatigue Failures Due To Tension And Vibration On Certain 824G, 825G, 826G Compactors Caterpillar

NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3992" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3992" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

NOTE: Although this Program is to be administered as described above on the Affected Product, parts should be removed from Parts Stock as soon as possible.

The supply and return fuel line tube assemblies may experience fatigue failures due to tension and machine vibration on certain 824G Wheel Dozers and 825G and 826G Compactors.

Action Required

1. Remove parts as indicated in Illustration 1. The machine will contain either 1211338 and 1211339 Tube Assembly or 1412842 and 1413123 Tube Assembly.

2. Install parts as indicated in Illustration 2. Start the engine and check for leaks. If the engine will not start, consult the 'Operation And Maintenance Manual' for instructions on priming the fuel system.

Parts Stock

Remove all 1211338, 1211339, 1412842 and 1413123 Tube Assembly from Parts Stock.

Owner Notification

U.S. and Canadian owners will receive the attached Owner Notification.

Parts Stock

Submit one claim for all 1211338, 1211339, 1412842 and 1413123 Tube Assembly removed from Parts Stock.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
