Removal Procedure

Start By:
- Remove the exhaust elbow.
- Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Coolant - Change" for the proper draining and filling procedures.
- Disconnect clamp assembly (2) and remove diffuser (1) from the turbocharger.

- Disconnect tube assemblies (3) and (4) .
- Disconnect hose assemblies (5) and (7) .

- Disconnect tube assembly (6) .
- Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (8). The weight of turbocharger (8) is approximately 26 kg (57 lb).
- Remove nuts (9) and turbocharger (8). Discard the gasket and nuts (9) .
- If needed, carefully remove clamp assemblies (2) and (10). Discard the clamp assemblies.

Installation Procedure
- Install turbocharger (8) in the reverse order of removal.
- Put clean engine oil in the oil inlet of the turbocharger after assembly or before installation. This action will provide lubrication during start-up and during storage.
- Tighten new clamp assemblies (10) to a torque of 13.6 ± 1.2 N·m (120 ± 11 lb in).
- Tighten new clamp assemblies (2) to a torque of 12 ± 4 N·m (106 ± 35 lb in).
- Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of new nuts (9) prior to installation. Tighten nuts (9) to a torque of 70 ± 5 N·m (52 ± 4 lb ft).
