Removal Procedure

1. Loosen clamps (1) and clamp (3). Remove breather assembly (2) from the valve cover.

2. Remove the bolts and cover (4) from valve cover base (6). Remove seal (5) (not shown) from cover (4) .

3. Remove the bolts and valve cover base (6) from the cylinder head. Remove seal (7) (not shown) from valve cover base (6) .

1. Be sure that seal (7) (not shown) is in position in valve cover base (6). Place valve cover base (6) in position on the cylinder head. Install the bolts that hold valve cover base (6) in place.

2. Be sure that seal (5) (not shown) is in place in cover (4). Install cover (4) and the bolts on valve cover base (6) .

3. Apply glycerin to the O-ring seal for breather assembly (2). Place breather assembly (2) in position. Tighten clamps (1) and clamp (3) to a torque of 3.0 ± 0.5 N·m (27 ± 4 lb in).
