Air Cleaner May Allow Moisture Ingress

Problem:
Some Air Cleaners may allow moisture to enter the cleaner body. The problem is the result of a poor joint between the air inlet tube and the cleaner group body. The moisture in the filter may shorten the service life of element.
Solution:
Inspect the inlet tube joint of the 159-3260 Air Cleaner Group for gaps between the spot welded sections. If gaps are present apply a uniform bead of 4C-9613 Sealant around the full circumference of the joint interface. See Illustration 1 and 2.
