New TOPCON grade controller software is now available for certain asphalt pavers. The new version R20 (2.0) software has replaced version R18.

The new version R20 (2.0) software comes in the 378-1171 Grade and Slope Control Gp. The 378-1171 Grade and Slope Control Gp replaces the 308-3067 Software which contained version R18 of the software. All new 378-1171 Grade and Slope Control Gp received will contain R20 software. Changes to the software are as follows:

• The R20 software addresses unexpected slope and elevation errors.

• A new menu item INT, was also added. The INT function provides a small amount of current to the tow point valve in a no system response condition. This function is intended to get the system back on grade without overshooting.

Note: Turn the INT setting to ON in the technicians menu.

When changing the software for one controller, reflash the opposite controller, to make sure both contain the R20 software. To see which version of software is installed on a particular controller, watch for software revision number at initial boot up.

Note: Ex: "PAV R18" is the version (1.8) software. "PAV R20" is the newest version (2.0) software. The R20 software is located on Paving Products Download Page.
