Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
- Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure Release".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

- Remove pin (1) .

- Disconnect hose assembly (4) .
- Remove two bolts (3) and governor actuator (2) .
Installation Procedure
- Install governor actuator (2) using two bolts (3) .

- Connect hose assembly (4) .
- Purge governor actuator (2) of air. Refer to Systems Operation Testing and Adjusting, "Governor Actuator - Purge".
- Loosen lock nut (5) .
Note: Ensure that the adjustable linkage is located in the second hole from the bottom.

- While applying light pressure in the direction indicated by the arrow, adjust linkage (6) in order for the pin to be easily installed.

- Install pin (1) and tighten lock nut (5) .
