Governor Spring Guide Press Depth{1287,1284}

Usage:

3306, 3406B, And 3406C Truck Engines

When installing a new governor spring guide in the governor housing, be sure to press the guide to the correct depth.

For 3306 Truck Engines, press the governor spring guide (2) into the governor housing (1) to a depth of 1.40 ± 0.25 mm (0.055 ± 0.010 in). Illustration 1 shows the correct dimension for 3306 Truck Engines.

For 3406B and 3406C Truck Engines, press the governor spring guide (3) into the governor housing (4) to a depth of 11.80 ± 0.25 mm (0.465 ± 0.010 in). Illustration 2 shows the correct dimension for 3406B and 3406C Truck Engines.
