The purpose of this guide is to assist customers, who do not possess electronic service tools, in determining and correcting probable causes of minor engine electronics system problems. The guide contains the procedure to determine the diagnostic flash codes, illustrations of sensor and harness connector location, and repair procedures. The procedures in this guide involve minor repairs only and are not intended to replace services that need to be performed by Caterpillar or authorized dealers.
