New Valve Cover Gasket{1107}

Usage:

All 3116 And 3126 Truck Engines

Description of Change: A new valve cover gasket is available for all 3116 and 3126 Truck Engines. The new gasket is Perfcore® material, with a sealing bead on one side, and provides better sealing than the former gasket that was made of a cork and rubber material.

Adaptable To: The new 119-2940 Valve Cover Gasket is a direct replacement for the former 105-1542 Valve Cover Gasket.

When installing the new gasket, thoroughly clean the surface of the valve cover and inlet manifold to insure good sealing. Install the gasket dry and tighten bolts in sequence as shown in the illustration. Tighten all to a torque of 12 N·m ± 3 N·m (9.0 lb ft ± 2.0 lb ft).
