Improved Tilt Cylinder Relief Valves are Now Used for the Main Control Valve {5117}

Usage:

Load Haul Dump: R1700G (S/N: SBR1-UP; 8XZ1-UP) R2900 (S/N: 5TW1-UP) R2900G (S/N: GLK1-UP; JLK1-UP)

Improved tilt cylinder relief valves are now used for the main control valve. Changes have been made to the relief valves that provide improved service life.

The improved 108-6428 Relief Valve replaces the former 4T-4932 Relief Valve. The improved 4T-4162 Relief Valve replaces the former 4T-4933 Relief Valve. The improved 108-6428 Relief Valve and 4T-4162 Relief Valve are adaptable to R1700G (S/N: 8XZ1-UP; SBR1-UP), R2900 (S/N: 5TW1-UP), R2900G (S/N: GLK1-UP; JLK1-UP).

(1) Torque for the nut ... 50 ± 7 N·m (37 ± 5 lb ft)

(2) Torque for the valve body ... 65 ± 5 N·m (48 ± 4 lb ft)

(3) 4T-4942 Spring

Length under test force ... 54.3 mm (2.14 inch)

Test force ... 1246 ± 100 N (280 ± 22 lb)

Free length after test ... 63.2 mm (2.5 inch)

Outside diameter ... 15.75 mm (0.620 inch)

(4) Lubricate the bore with the lubricant that is being sealed.

For testing purposes, use oil at 49 ± 3°C (120 ± 5°F)

Flow rate ... 160 ± 5 L/min (42 ± 1 US gpm)

Test force ... 240 ± 20 N (55 ± 4 lb)

(4) Lubricate the bore with the lubricant that is being sealed.

For testing purposes, use oil at 49 ± 3°C (120 ± 5°F)

Note: The 108-6428 Relief Valve and the 4T-4162 Relief Valve preset pressures have changed for this application. Ensure the 108-6428 Relief Valve and the 4T-4162 Relief Valve are set to the following pressures.
