Description of Change: The thrust bearing in the final drive has changed in order to reduce wear of certain parts.
Adaptable To: The new 207-6089 Bearing (1) is a direct replacement for the former 7D-7603 Thrust Washer. The change is effective with the following machines: 769D (S/N: BBB83-UP) and 771D (S/N: BCA83-UP). The new bearing is adaptable to earlier machines.

The former 7D-7603 Thrust Washer can be machined to the dimensions of the new bearing. Refer to Illustration 1.
The new bearing has a relief that is machined on the inside diameter of the bearing in order to improve service life. This relief will allow clearance for the splines on the axle shaft.

The new bearing (1) should be installed with the relief toward the splines (A) on the axle.
