Note: Rubber toric seals and all of the surfaces in contact with the rubber toric seals must be clean and dry at assembly. Prior to installation, put a thin layer of oil on the surfaces of the metal seals that are in contact. Put lubricant on all other seals at assembly. The seal mounting surface must be assembled square with the bore. The seals must not bulge, and the seals must not twist.

(1) Torque for 18 bolts ... 270 ± 40 N·m (200 ± 30 lb ft)

(2) Torque for plug ... 20 ± 5 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft)

(3) Torque for four studs ... 65 ± 10 N·m (48 ± 7 lb ft)

(4) Torque for four bolts ... 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft)

Test Force ... 667.2 ± 33.4 N (150.0 ± 7.5 lb)

Free length after test ... 71.9 mm (2.83 inch)

(10) Torque for 16 bolts ... 135 ± 20 N·m (100 ± 15 lb ft)

Note: Torque each nut (10) by one revolution in order to evenly pull down the housing. When all of the nuts bottom out, tighten the nuts to the specified torque in a crisscross pattern.

(11) Torque for three nuts ... 270 ± 40 N·m (199.14 ± 29.50 lb ft)

(1\2) Torque for three studs ... 110 ± 20 N·m (81 ± 15 lb ft)

(13) Torque for 12 bolts ... 55 ± 10 N·m (40 ± 7 lb ft)

(14) Assembled brake pack

Thickness of thirteen new discs, thirteen new plates and one new damper assembly ... 104.27 ± 2.77 mm (4.105 ± 0.109 inch)

Thickness of one new 9W-7018 Friction Disc ... 5.08 ± 0.13 mm (0.200 ± 0.005 inch)

Thickness of one new 7D-7504 Outer Plate ... 2.413 ± 0.064 mm (0.0950 ± 0.0025 inch)

Thickness of one new 5D-6328 Damper Assembly ... 6.86 ± 0.25 mm (0.270 ± 0.010 inch)

Note: Install the damper assembly so that the facing material faces toward the plate.

Note: When the friction discs are going to be stored, oil the friction discs at assembly.
