Tilt the blade until the low corner of the blade will remove enough material in order to leave a smooth path for the tires.
Repeat this process until the ditch reaches the desired depth. Spread the windrow. Clean the existing ditches in the same manner.

Establish the ditch line. Doze at right angles to the ditch's center line.
Doze the length of the ditch in order to smooth the sides of the ditch. This process will also smooth the bottom of the ditch. This process should be done after the ditch has reached the desired depth.
