The throttle lock allows the operator to set a desired engine rpm. The throttle lock can be used in the following manners:

• The throttle lock can be set at the desired high rpm. This allows the engine to run at a continuous high rpm in order to provide maximum hydraulic power.

• The throttle lock can be set for a desired low rpm. The operator may prefer to use the throttle control but the operator would also prefer to set a higher engine idle. The operator can release the throttle control in order to make directional changes. Releasing the throttle control only lowers the engine rpm to the desired throttle setting.

Set the Throttle Lock

The following procedure is the first method of setting the throttle lock:

1. Push the top of on/off switch (1) in order to turn on the throttle lock.

2. Depress the governor pedal in order to achieve the desired engine rpm.

3. Depress button (2) in order to set the throttle.

The following procedure is the second method of setting the throttle lock:

1. Push the top of on/off switch (1) in order to turn on the throttle lock.

2. Depress button (3) and hold button (3) until the desired rpm is achieved.

3. Release button (3) when the desired rpm is achieved.

The indicator light for the throttle lock is illuminated when the on/off switch is in the ON position.

Cancel a Throttle Setting

The throttle setting may be cancelled by depressing the right brake pedal or by moving on/off switch (1) to the OFF position.

Resume a Throttle Setting

When the right brake pedal is used to cancel a throttle setting, depress button (3) in order to resume the throttle setting.
