Tree or Brush Removal

Back away immediately when the tree starts to fall. Do not drive on the stump while the tree is falling.

  1. Remove dead limbs. Determine the direction that you want the tree to fall. Cut the roots on the opposite side. Determine which sides of the tree are parallel to the direction that you want the tree to fall. Cut the roots on these sides also.

  2. Lift the blade to a high position. Ease into the tree. Determine the direction that you want the tree to fall. Push the tree in the same direction. Build an earth ramp if higher contact is needed.

Small Trees or Large Brush

Contact the tree 30 cm (12 inches ) to 40 cm (16 inches) above the ground. Move the tractor forward while you lift the blade.

Small Brush

Lower the blade into the ground and move the tractor forward. Lift the blade when the brush is out of the ground in order to remove the earth from the roots.
