- Position the cutting edge slightly above the ground level.
- Attempt to match the travel speed of the scraper when you contact the scraper.

Illustration 2 g00863979 - Contact the push block squarely. Do not allow the blade to contact the tires of the scraper.
- Tip the blade backward in order to transfer the scraper weight to the tractor. Tip the blade enough to eliminate slippage of the tires.
- When the cut is complete, upshift the tractor in order to help the tractor increase speed.
- For tandem pushing, the front tractor must be equipped with a case mounted push block.
